Johnston Canyon in Bannf National Park

Our first stop was jam packed with activity.  We stopped in the city of Bannf and walked around briefly in the city center.

We quickly decided it was time to head to what we came to Bannf to see... nature!

Our first stop was in Johnston Canyon which is part of the Bannf National Park in Alberta Canada. The canyon offers a hiking trail along a narrow canyon with a rushing rapid and two beautiful water falls.

Next we headed over to Lake Louise which is famous for its emerald colored water.  The coloring comes from the rock 'flour' that comes off the surrounding mountains as the water drains into the lake.

We hiked to the back side of the lake where low and behold we found some beautiful rock walls that just had to be climbed.
