Kenai National Park Fjord Cruise

Today we spent most of the day on a boat heading out into the Kenai National Park's scenic Fjords.
The cruise was very well done and included a National Park Ranger to help narrate and explain what we were seeing.

Here are a few pictures of the wildlife and scenery we got to see on the 6 hour trip.

Otter

A glacier with icebergs which are the small white blocks to the left of the glacier that have calved off and are floating into the fjord

Sea Lion

Orca (Killer Whales) - which are actually in the dolphin family

We also saw a lot of Sea Gulls and Puffin.   All in all a really great trip.  The seas out to the glacier were a little rough and Karen and Zach were the worst off in terms of feeling motion sick.  But the ride back was smooth and very pleasant for everyone.

  1. Steve, looks like an amazing trip so far! So glad we are able to follow along, and so glad the RV is working out. You really are "livin' the dream!"
